Island Pag

Pag is the second largest island in Croatia – stretches comfortably over 60 km length parallel to the coastline. The island surprises with a diverse natural landscape. While the rocky north side is reminiscent of a surreal lunar landscape, the southwest is brought with lush Mediterranean vegetation and olive groves with numerous varieties of the most valuable olive trees.

The coastline is interrupted by small bays with sandy and pebble beaches – from a bird's eye view looks like a bordure of a lace dress. The sea shines in all shades of blue and turquoise.  Pag also has other and lesser-known treasures, such as the unique handmade sheep's cheese – Paski Sir and the lace from ancient folklore tradition, which is still used today for clothes, shoes and household textiles.

How to get there

From the south, the island can be reached via the spectacular Pag Bridge and from the north via a short ferry route.

By car

- over the Pag Bride in the South

- with the ferry connection between Prizna and Zigljen

By plane

- the next airport is Zadar (ZAD) 93 km away
